La Universidad Javeriana de Bogotá adjudica a VSN la actualización de su sistema de producción de noticias

The most modern audiovisual production system for education in the region, Centro Ático, has integrated advanced technology to allow and optimize the distribution of multiplatform content thanks to VSN.

The Pontifical Javeriana University, in Bogotá, has trusted VSN to ensure a perfect integration of your technological solutions existing with a complete news production system which, in order to promote students' creativity in audiovisual production, is prepared to work in multiplatform environments, different HD video formats and various sources of content ingestion (professional cameras, mobile phones, internet...). More than a thousand students will use the infrastructure daily.

The key core system for this project, VSNExplorer MAM the VSN, is essential to meet the specific needs of flow customization, hierarchical permission systems, multi-format environment and integration capacity with the systems of the manufacturers involved (Adobe First y Sony Vegas). In this way, the solution guarantees Centro Ático completely personalized content management adapted to the center's requirements, while at the same time ensures scalability and the possibility of adding other solutions to this infrastructure in the future.

Along with VSNExplorer MAM, the project has also had a complete update of its news system. More specifically, both hardware and software have been renewed.

The complete solution included the installation of fifteen concurrent Ross Inception system licenses Ross Video as NRCS for creating timelines and news, whether for traditional broadcast or through social networks; VSNLivecom as a studio playout to automate the production room and control two input and two output channels; he VSN web plugin for NRCS, 100% HTML5, which allows the advanced functionalities of the VSNExplorer PAM and MAM modules to be included within the NRCS interface; and the VSN web editing system, Wedit.

All these systems have been integrated, in turn, with the Aston 3D graphics and characters Brainstorm, which also allows you to assign graphics through templates for subsequent publication and distribution to the University's different broadcast platforms.

Project Manager the VSN, Martin Motta, states that "the main objective of the system that we have implemented at Centro Ático is to provide students with the most advanced news production tools and more similar to those they will find when they finish their studies. Students manage, with this system, to have in a single interface, all the functionalities necessary for the creation and production of news, from the editorial part to the video production including all the graphic layers necessary in a real news environment, in a simple and intuitive way, thus reducing the learning times of the tool."

Thanks to complete integration in one HTML5 web interface and a better integration with social networks and third screens, Now the Javeriana University has the latest technology necessary to be able to teach Journalism and Audiovisual courses in a digitalized and efficient environment with better development of the programs carried out within the center.
