Mediapro incorporates Visyon, a company specialized in the production of immersive audiovisual content
Visyon, which has more than 70 professionals and offices in Madrid, London and Dubai, has developed more than 400 projects.
Mediapro takes another step in its commitment to the development of new technologies with the incorporation of Vision, a company specialized in innovation services, an alliance that reinforces its leadership in the production of immersive audiovisual content.
The audiovisual group thus consolidates itself as one of the most important providers of audiovisual services in the world, as demonstrated by the notable advances in Virtual Reality (VR) that the Innovation department has carried out in 2018.
Founded in 2012, Visyon has been a pioneer in immersive technology such as Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR) and Mixed Reality (MR). The company has 70 professionals, most of them at its headquarters in Barcelona, and has offices in Madrid, London and Dubai, as well as branches in Milan, Eindhoven, San Francisco and New York.
Since its creation, Visyon has developed more than 400 projects, being one of the companies in the world with the most experience in the field of Extended Reality (XR). His work is linked to multiple industry sectors, such as Sports, Entertainment, Business Solutions, Retail, Education and Healthcare.
Projects
Mediapro and Visyon have worked together since 2014, developing innovative content solutions for major sports and entertainment clients, such as the production of the first live VR television broadcast of a football competition (the Emirates League), which has been recognized with the Sports Initiative of the Year at the ASBU BroadcastPro Awards 2018. Other notable awards that the company has achieved for different projects have been the Gold Award Best Use of Technology at the Global Media Awards, the Social Impact of the Year at the VR Awards and a DRUM MOMA Award.
Visyon is an innovation partner of The Wall Street Journal, a newspaper for which he has developed AR applications, a VR website and a data visualization system with Magic Leap glasses, among other projects.
To RTVE, the Barcelona company broadcast the last awards ceremony in 360 and VR. Goya Awards. Likewise, he has also recorded and post-produced classic theater works such as The misanthrope, by Molière; The kitchen, by Arnold Wesker, and Cyrano de Bergerac, by Edmond Rostand, within the framework of the Almagro International Classical Theater Festival.
Vision has collaborated with Nike in the creation and activation, in Russia, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal and Greece, of an interactive experience that turns a treadmill into an arcade game starring a virtual version of the user in pixel art.
The Catalan company has also worked with World Bank Group in the production of 360 filming and in the development of VR applications for social training and awareness projects related to aid to developing countries, climate change, diversity and integration, among others.
Other Visyon clients are Samsung, SEAT, Iberdrola, Google, Red Bull and Damm.
Currently, Mediapro and Visyon are developing new business models for the immersive broadcast of content, sports and entertainment, leading the evolution of the e-sports industry and exploring multiple use cases for the market potential that opens up with the deployment of 5G connectivity.
