Broadcast Solutions brings together professionals and technologies at Broadcast Innovation Day 2019
At its headquarters in Bingen (Germany), Broadcast Solutions has brought together some 350 participants from 30 countries in a day that has already become a benchmark for the media industry.
Broadcast Solutions celebrated its traditional day on November 28 Broadcast Innovation Day 2019. The systems integrator invited the broadcast community to this day-long event at its headquarters in Bingen, Germany. With around 350 participants from 30 countries, with more visitors than ever, this event has already become a classic of the media industry.
Stefan Breder, CEO of Broadcast Solutions, comments: "We launched Broadcast Innovation Day as a series of events a few years ago, and they have increasingly become a meeting place for the international broadcast industry. This year's edition has been the highlight so far. As an international company, it is very important for us to show our leadership in innovation and attract international visitors to Bingen. The compact size and direct contact with and between visitors make up the charm of Broadcast Innovation Day."
"Nowhere else in Europe can you see so many broadcasting projects in development or completed in one place. With debates and personal conversations throughout the Broadcast Innovation Day, we offer knowledge transfer for the industry, another important aspect that we want to promote with the series of events. The huge response shows that we are on the right track with this approach," he added.
Explore the trail
The free, day-long event offered visitors demonstrations, lectures, panel discussions and an exhibition to learn about new products and future broadcast technologies. under the slogan Explore the trail, the event focused not only on the presentation of current projects with more than a dozen mobile units under construction that were exhibited in the Broadcast Solutions workshop.
The exchange of experiences within the industry was and is equally important for the organizer. Broadcast Solutions experts provided insights into new approaches and recurring innovations in the projects the company has been working on around the world. Part of the event was also an exhibition area with more than 35 manufacturers presenting their products and solutions.
Another highlight, as in previous Broadcast Innovation Days, were the round tables in which producers, manufacturers and system integrators discussed current trends in the broadcast industry. Topics such as the standardization of SMPTE 2110, the advantages of remote production or whether software will replace hardware in the television industry were some of the topics raised on stage.
At a joint dinner, the visitors closed the day exchanging opinions and establishing contacts. This year, sixteen editions of Broadcast Innovation Days have been held around the world, attracting more than 1,800 visitors.
