The latest edition of Broadcast Innovation Day 2017, which took place on June 1, attracted numerous professionals to the headquarters of Broadcast Solutions in Bingen (Germany). With more than 300 visitors, the event was the most successful of the days organized by the German integrator and distributor to date. During the event, international customers and broadcasting experts had the opportunity to learn about the latest innovations in the industry. With a large number of mobile units under construction, an exhibition area, round tables and networking areas the event has become an essential event in the broadcasting industry calendar.
In the exhibition area about thirty manufacturers showed their new products and solutions. Broadcast Products, a Broadcast Solutions division, showcased its full portfolio of innovative solutions. In several roundtables numerous industry experts shared their views on trending topics such as IP, 4K/UHD and HDR/HFR and how they will affect live television productions in the future.
Trond Hermansen, CTO at NEP Switzerland, commented that "Broadcast Innovation Day was a perfect day. NEP Switzerland's new UHD 42 mobile unit, currently under construction, was one of the attractions during this day. The event is the perfect place to meet all the relevant broadcast providers, the Broadcast Solutions team, as well as to meet new people. Together with the discussion panels it is a perfect mix."
Stefan Breder, CEO of Broadcast Solutions, adds that "Broadcast Innovation Day at our headquarters in Bingen was the highlight of our event series so far. We are very pleased to have welcomed a large number of international visitors. With the overall layout including many mobile units under construction, demonstration areas, round tables and networking possibilities we believe that the event is a perfect mix of business topics and an informal meeting. The visitors' responses are very positive and we will continue our course with upcoming events, both in “Bingen like abroad.”
Thomas Riedel, CEO of Riedel Communications, acknowledges that this event "is already a must on my calendar and once again, it was worth attending. The quality of the contacts here is very high class."
Finally, Laurent Schiltz, CTO of the German production company TV Skyline, adds that "Broadcast Innovation Day is always the perfect opportunity to obtain information on the latest trends in the development of mobile units and meet with colleagues in a friendly atmosphere.
