‘Intemperie’, ‘Adiós’ and ‘La trinchera infinite’ will compete with a greater number of nominations at the 2020 Andalusian Film Awards
The award ceremony, organized by ASECAN with the official support of the SGAE Foundation, will take place on January 18 at the Lope de Vega Theater in Seville.
The Association of Film Writers of Andalusia (ASECAN) announced this morning the nominations for the 32nd Andalusian Film Awards that are celebrated with the Foundation of the General Society of Authors and Editors (SGAE) as an official collaborating entity.
The headquarters of the Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation hosted the reading of nominations for the Andalusian Film Awards, in which the nominees in the 27 competitive categories were present.
The act has been introduced by the president of ASECAN, Lourdes Palacios, and has had the intervention of Almudena Lopez, member of the Board of Directors of ASECAN, and Antonio Gonzalo, member of the Andalusian Territorial Council of the SGAE. Among the Andalusian films that stand out for their number of nominations are Bad weather, of Benito Zambrano with 11 nominations; Bye, of Paco Cabezas with 10 nominations and The infinite trench, by Jon Garaño, José María Goenaga and Aitor Arregi with 9 nominations.
522, a cat, a Chinese man and my father by Paco Baños concurs with 7 nominations, One more time Guillermo Rojas does it with 6 nominations, while Me, my wife and my dead wife of Santi Amodeo and Barzai by Alejandro Salgado achieve 5 nominations each.

In this edition of the ASECAN Awards, a total of 529 registrations in all categories, 38% more than in the previous edition. Of them, 400 are for personal works and 129 correspond to collective works. In the Film category (which includes Andalusian productions or co-productions that have been released), this year 19 works are competing. There have also been 16 Non-Fiction feature films, 69 short films and 12 works in the Other Formats category.
In the categories that recognize acting work this year, 95 performers participated, specifically 53 actresses and 42 actors. Of all the other personal candidacies that are not interpreting, 69.17% correspond to candidacies made up of only men, 18.18% to candidacies of women and 12.65% to mixed candidacies. Since 2012, the cultural arm of the SGAE has offered support to this great meeting point of Andalusian cinematography and creation, thereby strengthening its objective of promoting and promoting the work of Andalusian authors who develop their profession in the field of audiovisuals, increasingly recognized in the rest of the national territory.
The XXXII Andalusian Film Awards Gala will be held on January 18, 2020 at the Lope de Vega Theater in Seville.
