Ross Video updates its Ultrix processing and routing platform

With the new versions of the Ultrix-FR1 and Ultrix-FR2 frames, which will support the Ultrix IP blade, broadcasters and production companies will be able to scale their IP deployments cost-effectively using any of the Ultrix sizes.

Vengeance, the innovative AV processing and routing platform from Ross Video, was launched at NAB 2016 and since then has been increasingly present in television studios while winning numerous industry awards.

To the 1RU and 2RU versions (Ultrix-FR1 and Ultrix-FR2) were later joined by a 5RU version (Ultrix-FR5) in 2018.

This important development will allow customers to cost-effectively scale their IP deployments using any of the Ultrix sizes. Additionally, the new Ultrix-FR1 and Ultrix-FR2 frames feature the same omnicooling architecture found in the Ultrix-FR5, for even more efficient heat dissipation and better performance in tight conditions or harsh production environments.
