The popular On-Air Ruby console of Lawo, combined with the Power Core DSP mixing engine, are the central pieces of the third channel 3 studio equipped with Lawo technology.

The bilingual Swiss radio Canal 3, which emits at two frequencies in the cantons of Bern and Soleura, has chosen the popular On-Air Ruby console Lawo, combined with the mixing engine Power Core DSP, like the central pieces of his new study.

Designed for double use as a preproduction study and as a substitute for the usual one, this is the third study of channel 3 equipped with Lawo radio products.

Canal 3His new Ruby console has a Split-Frame settings Optimized for the workflow, with a main mixture surface of 12-Faders for DJs, and an additional 4-Faders module for news presenters in the study. This unique configuration allows radio presenters to work independently, using physically separated portions from the same mixing surface, which are mounted to improve the ergonomics of the study.

Channel 3 issues for the area from Bernese swears to Lysss, and from Erlach to Solothurn, causing programs both in German and French Swiss. In addition, in 2018, SLG commissioned a mobile study with three Flight Cases, using a 12 -faders Ruby console with Power Core.

With these facilities working so well, Channel 3 wanted to equip their new study with the latest Lawo Technology, specifically Ruby and Power Core. Madi is used to connect the new study with his two pre -existing counterparts.

"This new order for a third study, which has just been completed, shows that Channel 3 is quite satisfied with Lawo's technology, as well as with SLG services as a systems house," says Hurni.

The director of programming of the station, Kevin Gander, you agree. "Our former preproduction study had a low -budget team. Thanks to the financial support of our government for technical progress projects, it was finally possible to build a third appropriate study using radio technology with which we have had good experience for years, both in terms of quality and reliability."
