The Wacken World Wide 2020 festival premieres with Riedel the mixture and re-mattering on both sides of the Atlantic

The audio for Wacken World Wide 2020 was delivered from the Live Nation stage in Hamburg to the Riedel ROC in Wuppertal and then to Valhalla studios in New York to be mastered by Ronald Prent.

Riedel Communications was associated with Remote Recording Network (RRN) y Live Nation to establish remote mastering workflow on both sides of the Atlantic for music festival Wacken World Wide 2020.

Streamed live to 11 million fans worldwide from July 29 to August 1 on MagentaMusik 360, Wacken World Wide brought the world's largest heavy metal festival online in a mixed reality production. The audio of this broadcast was mixed in Hamburg (Germany) and mastered at Valhalla studios in New York, with communications and signal configuration, transmission and monitoring carried out by the Riedel Remote Operations Center (ROC).

The founder of RRN, Peter Brandt, a Grammy Award winner who oversaw audio production for the festival, notes that "this new remote mastering workflow is incredible, and we've never had such a great streaming sound at Wacken before. Because we were able to master in an acoustically calibrated room, we had the perfect conditions for a well-balanced sound."
