Átika, the smart speaker to remotely control Vodafone TV

It is the first speaker that an operator sells in the Spanish market and that combines all these functionalities in a single device, including Amazon Alexa.

Vodafone has presented today Attica, he Vodafone TV smart speaker. This device integrates the voice control functionalities of the television, a quality of Premium sound and integrated Amazon Alexa, with answers on the client's own TV. It is the first speaker on the market launched by an operator in Spain and combines all these functionalities in a single device.

Thanks to your 6 built-in microphones allows you to control with your voice what the user wants to see on Vodafone TV. Through commands initiated with 'Hello ÁTIKA', the viewer can perform the same functions as with their usual remote control: turn on/off, volume control, change channels, record, go back, access applications such as HBO Spain, Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, etc. As examples: 'Hello ÁTIKA. Turn on the Hollywood Channel' / 'Hello ÁTIKA. Fast forward 10 minutes' / 'Hello ÁTIKA. Enter HBO Spain'.

Vodafone has teamed up with Sagemcom, a developer of audio, video solutions and certified Alexa systems integrator, for the design and manufacturing of the hardware, and for the development and integration of software that allows the proper detection and management of the Átika user's voice.

Surround sound

Devialet, one of the most prestigious companies in the audio market, with more than 160 registered patents and more than 90 international awards. has contributed its technology to the development of Átika. Based on its popular Phantom model, Vodafone's new speaker will allow the user to enjoy a superior acoustic experience.

This speaker is also equipped with Space, a unique technology developed by Devialet, which creates a surround sound experience from a standalone device and from any format (stereo or multichannel), without additional speakers.

Átika also has the AVL technology (Adaptive Volume Level) by Devialet, which dynamically and automatically adapts the volume level of the device in real time according to the content played. This way, you don't have to turn up the volume to hear dialogue or turn it down during action sequences.

In addition, it offers Dolby Audio 5.1 surround sound, with powerful bass and great dynamic range thanks to the two integrated subwoofers and its three 360° speakers.

Átika also has voice service Built-in Amazon Alexa, with responses both on the speaker and on the TV itself. Through Amazon Alexa and with just your voice you can play music, listen to the news, see the weather, search for recipes or control compatible smart home devices, such as V-Home, among a multitude of possible actions, and you just have to say “Alexa, what can you do?”
