Félix Viscarret starts filming 'From the Shadow'

Produced by Tornasol and Desde la Sombra Arbol AIE, filming will take place over six weeks in different locations in Pamplona.

The Navarrese director Felix Viscarret (Homeland, Under the stars, Winds of Havana) has started filming his new movie: From the shadow, based on the novel of the same name by Juan José Millás, adapted into a film script by Viscarret himself and David Muñoz.

The film stars Paco León (Kiki, Carmina, Arde Madrid), Leonor Watling (Nasdrovia, Talk to her), Alex Brendemühl (Akelarre, Mother), Susana Abaitua (Patria), María Romanillos (Riot, Paradise), Juan Diego Botto (The Europeans) and Marcos Ruiz (The laws of the border, The man of a thousand faces).

Filming will take place over six weeks in different Pamplona locations.

From the shadow is a production of Litmus y From the Shadow Tree AIE, in co-production with Between Dog and Wolf (Belgium) and with the participation of RTVE y Movistar. Universal Pictures International Spain will distribute the film in Spain. Heartbeat Films She will be responsible for the film's international sales.

In the film, Damián has just been fired after 20 years working in the same company. His reaction, furious and somewhat violent, leads him to run to escape from his boss and hide from him in the first place he finds when leaving the office: a closet loaded in a van.

The closet with Damián inside is delivered to the home of Lucía and Fede, a couple Damián's age who lives with their teenage daughter, María.

That same night, an unexpected impulse leads Damián to stay with the family to become a mysterious presence that will observe and move from the shadows.
