Filming of 'The Content of Silence' begins in Navarra, Euskadi and the Canary Islands

This week the filming of The content of silence, a film directed by Helena Taberna (Nagore, The Good News, Yoyes) and produced by Lamia with the participation of TVE, ETB, Government of Navarra and the sponsorship of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria.

The film, whose filming will take place in Navarra, Euskadi and the Canary Islands between March 9 and April 25, stars Daniel Grao (Palm trees in the snow, The End, Julia's eyes); the recent Goya nominee for Best Supporting Actress for Marseille, Goya Toledo (Maktub, The thirteen roses, Dog loves); Juana Acosta (Time without air, Libertador, One more hour in the Canary Islands), and Jon Kortajarena (Ma ma, A single man).

Completing the cast is Assumpta Serna (Subjúdice, Matador, The fencing master); the recent Goya nominee for Best New Actress for Beautiful youth, Ingrid García Jonsson (Tour), and Xabier Elorriaga (Dance steps, Thesis, Far from Africa), among others.

With a script by Helena Taberna, Andrés Martorell and Natxo López, the film is a free adaptation of the novel of the same name written by Lucía Etxebarría.

The content of silence It also has a luxury technical team in which the designer Carlos Díez (Lena, Ma Ma, Room in Rome, Less than zero), in charge of the film's costumes; the director of photography, Javier Agirre (The flowers); the Art Director, Javier Alvariño (Rec 4, Grand Piano, Open Windows), and the musician Angel Illarramendi (The Bride's Son, Luna de Avellaneda, The Good News).

The film tells the story of Gabriel, a young prosecutor with a good position and an orderly life who is shaken when he receives a call from the Canary Islands. A collective suicide has occurred in a sect. Her little sister, Cordelia, was one of the adepts and her body has not been found.
