Canary Islands, setting for the filming of 'A una isla de ti'
Produced by Morena Films e IPG Mediabrands Entertainment, Alexis Morante ('Oliver's Universe', 'Gila: Is it the enemy?') directs the romantic comedy 'A una isla de ti' in the Canary Islands.
Starring Freddie Dennis (Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story), Jaime Zataraín (The Kingdom, Rapa), Julia Martínez (Underground, The Promise) and with the special collaboration of Toni Acosta (4 Stars, Father there is only one), the feature film, with script by Fernando Pérez, Paula López Cuervo and Morante himself, tells the love story between two men woven with comedy and entanglements, which takes place in the paradisiacal surroundings of the Canary archipelago.
With a fresh and current tone, To an island of you celebrates the freedom of loving without labels, evoking the charm and nostalgia of the great romantic comedies, to which are added the Canarian environment and culture, inclusive and diverse, as another protagonist of the plot.
To Alexis Morante, "when Morena Films and IPG Mediabrands Entertainment suggested that I delve into a genre as popular as romantic comedies, with a love story as unusual as that of two men and with the magical environment of the most authentic Canary Islands, it seemed like an opportunity to excite and entertain in equal parts. I have endearing characters, in a visual narrative almost of magical realism, where the elements of Canarian nature are one more character in this modern fable that pays homage. to the classic romantic comedies of the 90s.”
The film is a co-production of Morena Films, one of the most commercially successful Spanish production companies with international impact, responsible for titles such as Cell 211, Champions o Mother's love; IPG Mediabrands Entertainment, the unit specialized in large entertainment projects of the media, communication and marketing agency group IPG Mediabrands, which has participated in projects such as Campeonex, Who's Who, Conclave o Heretic; and of From island to island AIE.
