This will be the stage of the Benidorm Fest 2024

As in previous years, the scenery and spaces for the technique and public that RTVE planned for Benidorm Fest 2024 are spread over several main areas: backstage (391.81 m²), main stage (580.28 m²), public pit area (680.39 m²), Green Room (475 m²) and press (657 m²).

The total space occupied in the L'Illa Sports Palace between scenery, audience and technical space is 5,000 m².

This Monday, RTVE opened the doors of the Benidorm sports pavilion to announce details of the new edition of the festival. A visit that included the presence of officials from RTVE, the Generalitat Valenciana and the Benidorm City Council, along with a group of journalists, to explain the news on the set while the preparations for the galas were being finalized.

They attended the visit José Luis Muñiz, Director of Production and Media at RTVE; Nuria Montes, Minister of Tourism, Industry, Innovation and Commerce of the Generalitat Valenciana; and Antonio Perez, mayor of Benidorm. They have also been María Eizaguirre, director of Communication and Participation of RTVE; and Jesus Carrobles, Councilor for Festivals and Events of Benidorm.

The main stage consists of a fixed screen in the center of the staging space supported by a large structural and decorative element in the shape of large self-illuminated elliptical arch. In the center of said arch is a mobile screen what can be moved transversally to make way for an opening of six meters free of light for access to the stage of the mobile scenic elements that must enter and leave the backstage towards the staging area during the live show.

EOn the sides, two symmetrical structures in curved section that support a screen 7.5 meters wide by six meters high.

On each shoulder of the stage there are exits for small stage elements and technical staff and artists.

Next to these exits, we find two other screens with curved sections that dress the sides of the stage.

In it stage floor is implanted a large circular screen protected by a transparent glass floor. Three self-illuminated LED arches are also embedded in its perimeter.

Green Room

The other scenographic intervention has been done in the Green Room area. This is fan-shaped in plan with side access by stairs. Eight large circular rings with sofas and self-illuminated tables will house the rest area for the competing artists after their performance. On both sides of the Green Room there are two symmetrical areas with a circular shape in plan where the jury is located with space for eight people and a show presentation set with space for three presenters. Both sets would have self-illuminated LED light arcs.

The Green Room will have a large banner Self-illuminated with RGB LED that will dress the entire background.

The rest of the space is organized for the implementation of the technical tower (where the lighting, sound and screen control technical personnel are located), technical equipment (cameras, cranes, traveling tracks, sound, etc.) and access for the public and technical personnel.
