RTVE pours its technological and human muscle into Benidorm Fest 2025 with four mobile units and 300 professionals
Less than a week until the first semi-final of Benidorm Fest 2025, RTVE has presented the first images and technical keys of the stage of the musical contest that will take place from January 28 to February 1.
Los scenarios of the previous editions of the festival all maintained forms circular. As a novelty, this year the main stage is triangular. It has almost 30 meters wide and has a great triangular screen on the floor of 20 meters long.
He front of the stage It is formed by a structure from side to side of the pavilion, occupying practically the entire width of the venue. In the central part, there is installed a large vertical screen which is, again, triangular in shape. According to Ana María Bordas, co-director of the Benidorm Fest, “we have opened the stage so that it gives a feeling of more spaciousness and so that the audience is more integrated.” The structure has two side entrances formed by two large stairs and the peak of the triangle is located towards the public.
More than 300 personas They will work on the special device that RTVE has launched for the fourth edition of the Benidorm Fest. Of them, 33 are technicians that will operate four mobile units that will be used for the broadcast. One of them is the type F, the most complete mobile unit that RTVE has and configured for a total of 18 cameras. This unit was also used at Junior Eurovision 2024 in Madrid last November.
Among the cameras that will be used in the three galas from the Palau d’Esports l’Illa in Benidorm are several robotic cameras, four hot heads, a railcam that will cover the entire perimeter of the stage, a overhead camera, of the steadycam and one cablecam. Lighting will also be key to the program: with 5,000 meters of wiring, some 500 lighting fixtures y six generators.
