PPDS shows technological muscle at NAB 2025 by exhibiting the technology of its latest project on PBS

An LED panel of more than 8 meters deployed on the last set of PBS Virginia, the last great project of PPDS in the United States, will serve as a base for the company to present all its digital signage technology, interactive screens, video walls and dvLED aimed at broadcast markets in NAB 2025 (April 6 – 9).

After 18 months of great installations by PPDS, including projects in the Kia Center, KUSI, WRCB, WAVY TV, KTLA-TV, CBS 4 y KHON TV, among others, on the eve of the NAB Show 2025, PPDS, FX Design Group y Digital Video Group (DVG) have completed the installation of a Philips dvLED panel inside the new studio PBS Appalachia Virginia of Bristol, Virginia. This broadcaster claims to be the first public television network fully digital in the country, dedicated to amplifying the voice of Southwest Virginia with high-quality local content and PBS programming.

Designed for uninterrupted use and capable of presenting content in resolutions higher than 8K, the series Unite LED 6000 from Philips, which will be presented during the NAB Show 2025, was chosen to realize the ambitions of the PBS studio management team. Installed in less than a week and before the studio's first broadcast in its new home, this solution dvLED curva, custom designed, offers “unmatched” flexibility and performance. With a pixel pitch of 1.5 mm, it displays content sharply down to the smallest details, including letters and numbers, as well as featuring “exceptional” color accuracy. JulieNewman, PBS COO and CEO of PBS Appalachia Virginia, describes the new studio as a “milestone” in media innovation and “the most spectacular studio within a 500-mile radius.”

In addition to the Philips Unite LED Serie 6000, other solutions presented in recent projects and that will be exhibited by the PPDS team at NAB Show 2025 include the serie X-Line 55” from Philips, designed for video walls and with 4K resolution, or the series 4000 D-Line 86”, ready to offer new opportunities in broadcast contexts with QuadViewer, which transforms the screen into an elegant 2×2 video wall without interior bezels.
