Patricia Ferreira's new film stars Goya winner Marina Comas and Àlex Monner, the protagonist of the successful TV3 series 'Polseres Vermelle'.

The production companies Distinto Films, Áralan Films and TVC have just started filming the film in Barcelona The Wild Children (Los niños salvajes).

The new film by Patricia Ferreira, director of So that you don't forget me y The impatient alchemist Among other productions, it delves into the world of adolescence to show the problems of lack of communication and the escape routes of a group of young people. The director herself, also author of the script along with Virginia Yagüe (Loving in troubled times), says that "the film talks about those loud, poorly educated and irresponsible children who could be our children or anyone else's, but who are perfect strangers. There are wild children everywhere."

This exciting story, filmed mostly in Catalan, features the young Goya winner Marina Comas (Bye Black), with the protagonist of the successful TV3 series Red bracelets Alex Monner (REC3, Herois) and with Albert Baró (The heart of the city, The voices of Pamano).

According to Miriam Porté and Gonzalo Bendala, producers of the film, “the three form a very interesting trio, who leave us speechless with their capacity for intuition and whose talent shows that there is a new wave of youth in Catalonia.”

The cast is completed by Ana Fernández (Alone, La Mari), Vicky Peña (The Consul of Sodom, Secrets of the Heart), Emma Vilarassau (Lest you forget me, The Nameless), Francesc Orella (Alakrana, Three days with the family), Aina Clotet (Elisa K, 53 days of winter), Clara Segura (Into the Sea, Julia's eyes), Montse German (El patio de mi carcel, Fiction) and José Luis García Pérez (Buried, Return to Hansala).

Synopsis

Álex, Gabi and Oki are three teenagers who live in a big city. They are strangers to their parents, teachers and to themselves. What if we could know what they were thinking and what they would want to do? Their emotional isolation, taken to the extreme, will have unexpected consequences that will shake society.

The Wild Children, co-produced by the Catalan company Distinto Films and the Andalusian company Áralan Films and TVC, with the participation of Canal Sur and the Junta de Andalucía, will be filmed over the next six weeks in the cities of Barcelona and Seville.
