Broadpeak to expand its engineering, sales and customer service teams
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the French provider specialized in CDN and streaming solutions closes 2020 with significant growth.
Broadpeak continues on a solid growth path, despite the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout 2020, its sales recorded a year-on-year increase of 42% (YoY) and a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 43% between 2015 and 2020.
Just ten years old, Broadpeak is committed to driving innovation in the video delivery and streaming market, has pioneered several innovative technologies, including ABR multicast, and has already deployed its technologies with more than a hundred customers around the world.
Last year, the company added 17 new clients, including top-tier operators in several regions around the world. Successful deployments included advanced CDNs replacing legacy CDNs, large cloud PVR systems, several multicast ABR solutions in production, and server-side ad insertion technology.
Jacques Le Mancq, CEO of Broadpeak, acknowledges that "although it has been an unprecedented time, with some exceptional and difficult challenges, we are optimistic about the future. COVID has unleashed greater demand for ultra-fast broadband and high-performance WiFi, which we believe will see our customers emerge stronger from the pandemic. We are also seeing greater opportunities for super aggregators and accelerated growth for pure OTT service providers, along with a critical need for streaming companies to provide exceptional quality of experience, similar to Netflix.”
To address this growth, throughout 2021, Broadpeak ampliará sus equipos de ingeniería, ventas y servicio al cliente dando así respuesta a la demanda de los clientes de soluciones de entrega de vídeo eficientes e impulsar una mayor innovación tecnológica.
