Ikegami Electronics (Europe) has reinforced its sales engineering team at its headquarters in Neuss (Germany) with the incorporation of David Lieven and Cedric Ogon.

David Lieven joins as a junior sales engineer specializing in broadcast equipment. He graduated in 2018 from the Cologne University of Applied Sciences with a Bachelor of Engineering in the field of media technology.

Lieven commented that "Ikegami is at the forefront of developing television camera equipment and monitors. "What fascinates me most about the broadcast business is the symbiosis of many different products and technologies that can be combined to create the best possible experience for the viewer. The media industry is a vast sector that has progressed rapidly with the transition from analogue to digital production and distribution and the growing popularity of watching television on tablets and phones. Ikegami has a long tradition of innovation that includes an HDD-based camcorder, ASICS' first application of 0.18 microns in broadcast cameras and, with the SHK-810, the first portable 8K camera. The first 8K streaming service began in December 2018, but that is an evolution that could take quite some time.”

For his part, Cedric Ogon joins as a Junior Commercial Engineer specialized in Ikegami's range of medical products. He has a degree in computer systems electronics from the IHK (Industrie- und Handelskammer Mittlerer Niederrhein).
