DJI reinvents the drone flying experience with the new FPV
With a sleek, aerodynamic design, the new DJI FPV offers an immersive flight experience with goggles, up to 120 fps (1440x810) low-latency HD streaming, and an intuitive motion controller.
DJI launches a completely new type of drone that offers a intuitive and immersive flight experience como nunca antes.
Ferdinand Wolf, Creative Director of DJI Europe, says: “DJI has been redefining what drones can do since our company was founded in 2006, and as we celebrate our 15th anniversary this year, we pay tribute to that legacy of innovation by redefining what drone flight can offer with the new DJI FPV.”
"Right out of the box, the DJI FPV offers the best technology available for a hybrid drone like no other. It can fly like a racing drone, hover like a traditional drone, accelerate like a home-built project, and stop faster than any of them. The DJI FPV allows the world to experience the absolute thrill of immersive drone flight without being intimidated by its technology or spending hours building a system from scratch. We can't wait for the world to try it," he adds.
High performance engines
The DJI FPV ecosystem includes the drone, goggles, a special remote control, and a new intuitive motion controller option that makes the drone move based on hand movements.
The drone has high performance engines for incredible speeds, an intuitive user interface and the latest security features for greater control.
The new FPV system offers pilots a view from the drone perspective in high definition low latency thanks to O3, the third iteration of DJI's patented OcuSync technology. Its unmatched reliability and transmission range help pilots capture ultra-smooth and stable 4K videos at 60 fps with the help of the RockSteady electronic image stabilization.
Both amateur and professional pilots can explore the skies with confidence with the help of three different flight modes designed for all skill levels and for pilots to get used to the system. DJI FPV's advanced safety features include a new emergency braking and hovering to make flying safer and less intimidating for new users, as well as DJI's suite of industry-leading safety solutions, including GPS-based geofencing to warn pilots about airspace restrictions and potential hazards, and a system receptor ADS-B to warn pilots when other manned aircraft are nearby.
For every skill level
The DJI FPV is the first integrated FPV drone that allows pilots, from beginners to professionals, to choose from multiple flight modes to adapt to your skill level:
- Normal Mode (N)- The DJI FPV operates similarly to other DJI drones, performing hovering in place with the use of GPS and/or visual positioning systems (VPS) on the underside of the drone. The most accessible flight mode, N Mode, allows the obstacle detection sensors on the front to activate to warn the user when obstacles are nearby and slow down. Pilots must move the drone away from any detected obstacles.
- Manual Mode (M)- Designed for more experienced users. In M mode, all sensors and hover functions are disabled.
- Sports Mode (S): S Mode, a new hybrid combination of M and N Mode, offers some of the dynamic movement capabilities that come with M Mode along with some of the key safety features of N Mode. S Mode is the intermediate step between the three modes and was developed to give pilots more room to explore their skills as they get used to FPV flight.
Security
While in the air, pilots can also use a security feature set that make flying not only a memorable experience, but also a safe one. A special Emergency Braking and Hover function is available in all flight modes for the drone to stop and hover in place at any time during flight. Obstacle detection sensors can be activated while operating in N mode, which will alert pilots of any detected obstacles and automatically slow the aircraft.
The drone also features visual positioning sensors (VPS) and an auxiliary light at the bottom to allow smooth takeoffs and landings. The regress to point of origin Safety is another important feature that will make the drone return to its home point automatically with the push of a button or in case the transmission signal is lost. He sistema receptor ADS-B notifies the pilot when traditional aircraft, such as airplanes or helicopters equipped with ADS-B transmitters, are detected nearby.
Transmission
The DJI FPV lets you see the world in a new way using the latest in HD streaming technology. Pilots can see a clear, long-range, low-latency signal from the DJI FPV aircraft while using the DJI FPV Goggles V2.
Ofrece un rango de transmisión de 10 km, dual auto-switching frequencies, a high bit rate of 50 Mbps and state-of-the-art interference elimination methods to ensure a reliable signal. Announced in 2019, DJI's HD transmission system brought the world's first low-latency HD digital signal to market. The new DJI FPV system uses that same technology to deliver a sharp image to the goggles with ultra-low latency.
Pilots can choose between several display options different, including:
- Standard HD low latency mode: Allows viewing in 1440x810 p at 60 fps with a wider field of view (FOV) of 142° or at 50 fps with a FOV of 150°. In this mode, latency is only ≤ 40 ms.
- Fluid mode: In this mode, pilots activate high frame rates for a more cinematic look, but signal latency increases to ≤ 28 ms. The resolution is 1440x810 p at 120 fps with a FOV of 142° or at 100 fps with a FOV of 150°.
- Hearing Mode- Share the pilot's perspective in audience mode, which connects up to eight additional pairs of glasses to the pilot's view so even spectators can experience the flight.
Integrated 4K/60fps camera
The DJI FPV can capture dynamic, cinematic videos that you'll want to share with the world. The integrated camera 4 K/60 fps 120 Mbps It is on a single-axis stabilizer, providing stability during complex maneuvers while rotating vertically for unique angles.
Additionally, RockSteady stabilization technology eliminates shaky footage and global shutter distortion when recording fast-moving scenes. Advanced distortion correction software can eliminate the unattractive, warped fisheye look that is common in FPV footage.
Pilots can record footage on 4x Slow Motion en 1080 p y 120 fps to relive epic moments with every detail. Footage can now be stored in H.265 or H.264, which use less space on the memory card but preserve the finest details during compression.
