DJI launches a whole new type of drone that offers a intuitive and immersive flying experience like never before. It combines the first-person view and high-speed performance of racing drones, the cinematic camera sweep of traditional drones, the safety and transmission technology of DJI's leading consumer drones, and an innovative one-handed optional motion controller that allows pilots to control the drone only with hand movements.

Dji FPV creates a new category of drones and opens up new worlds of possibilities for content creators and drone fans, whether beginners or experts.

High-performance engines

The DJI FPV ecosystem includes the drone, goggles, a special remote control and an intuitive new motion controller option that makes the drone move according to hand movements.

The new FPV system offers pilots a vision from the low-latency HD drone perspective thanks to O3, the third iteration of DJI's patented OcuSync technology. Unmatched reliability and transmission range help pilots capture ultra-fluid and stable 4K videos at 60fps with the help of the RockSteady electronic image stabilization.

Both amateur and professional pilots can explore the skies with confidence with the help of three different flight modes designed for all skill levels and for pilots to get used to the system. Dji FPV's advanced security features include a new emergency braking and stationary flight to make flying safer and less intimidating for new users, as well as DJI's suite of industry-leading security solutions, including GPS-based geoperimetrage to warn pilots about airspace restrictions and potential hazards, and a system ADS-B receiver to warn pilots when other manned aircraft are nearby.

For each skill level

The DJI FPV is the first integrated FPV drone that allows pilots, from beginners to professionals, to choose from multiple flight modes to adapt to your skill level:

  • Normal Mode (N): THE DJI FPV operates similarly to other DJI drones, performing stationary flight instead with the use of GPS and/or visual positioning systems (VPS) at the bottom of the drone. The most accessible flight mode, N mode, allows obstacle detection sensors at the front to be activated to warn the user when obstacles are nearby and speed is slowed down. Pilots must move the drone away from any detected obstacles.
  • Manual Mode (M): Designed for more experienced users. In M mode, all sensors and stationary flight functions are disabled.
  • Sport Mode (S): S mode, a new hybrid combination of M and N mode, offers some of the dynamic motion capabilities that come with M mode along with some of the key security features of N mode. S mode is the intermediate step between the three modes and was developed to give pilots more space to explore their skills as they get used to FPV flight.

DJI FPVsafety

While in the air, pilots can also use a set of security features that make flying not only a memorable experience, but also safe. A special Emergency Braking and Stationary Flight feature is available in all flight modes so that the drone stops and stays stationary in place at any time during the flight. Obstacle detection sensors can be activated while operating in N mode, alerting pilots to any detected obstacles and automatically slowing down the aircraft.

The drone also features Visual Positioning Sensors (VPS) and an auxiliary light at the bottom to allow for takeoffs and soft landings. It offers a range of 10km transmission, dual automatic switching frequencies, a high bitrate of 50 Mbps and next-generation interference removal methods to ensure a reliable signal. Announced in 2019, DJI's HD transmission system brought the world's first low-latency HD digital signal to market. The new DJI FPV system uses the same technology to deliver a crisp image to glasses with ultra-low latency.

Pilots can choose from several display options different, including:

  • Standard low latency HD mode—View at 1440×810 p at 60 fps with a wider field of view (FOV) of 142 degrees or 50 fps with a 150-degree FOV. In this mode, the latency is only ≤ 40 ms.
  • Fluid mode: In this mode, pilots activate high frame rates for a more cinematic appearance, but signal latency increases to ≤ 28 ms. The resolution is 1440×810 p at 120 fps with a 142o FOV or at 100 fps with a 150-degree FOV.
  • Audience Mode: Share the pilot's perspective in audience mode, which connects up to eight additional pairs of goggles to the pilot's view so that even spectators can experience the flight.

Built-in 4K/60fps camera

The DJI FPV can capture dynamic and cinematic videos that you'll want to share with the world. The built-in camera 4 K/60 fps 120 Mbps It is in a single-axis stabilizer, providing stability during complex maneuvers while rotating vertically for unique angles.
