Polygon Labs, an innovative studio that is pushing the boundaries of interactive data applications and branding, has been working closely with several clients of Viz Weather of Vizrt To increase the functionality of your centralized web-based weather data management and curation solution, The weather itself.

Polygon Labs has added searching and browsing for weather locations directly from the Ipsum Weather website. Ipsum Weather is the platform for aggregation and visualization of weather data from Polygon Labs, which seamlessly aggregates any data source from weather service providers, including spot weather data, forecasts, isobars, and satellite and radar imagery.

It provides a simple, efficient and highly scalable interface for producers and journalists to ingest, manage and curate these feeds from any browser, anywhere. This new search and browse functionality greatly expands the number and frequency of forecast weather conditions and point data, adds access to historical data, and provides better integration with satellite and model data.

Also structures Viz Weather scenes and plugins to work seamlessly with Viz Trio and other Vizrt graphical playback control interfaces. Polygon Labs has also announced that Ipsum Weather is now available as a turnkey annual subscription service that includes customization of customer weather charts, data service integrations and support.

Ipsum Weather ensures that all weather data, satellite imagery and model data is up to date and ready to be played back in real time, at any time, using Viz Trio or any other Vizrt broadcast control application or automation solution. It also provides data feed and schedule chart control for weather traces, automated alerts, and sponsors in the master control.
