Ghielmetti debuts its GMS 3164 Dante Plus network audio monitor and GDP 1132 Dante patchbay
The Swiss company specialized in signal distribution systems and audio and video monitoring devices, Ghielmetti, has presented its new GMS 3164 Dante Plus network audio monitor and the new GDP 1132 Dante patchbay.
The new Ghielmetti GMS 3164 Dante Plus network audio monitor can access all Dante channels on a network, and allows simultaneous monitoring and in real time up to 64 channels of Dante audio preselected, without requiring the use of Dante Controller software. The preselected channels can be displayed in different measurement modes on two 2.2" color TFT screens. Three display modes are available, allowing 16, 32 or 64 channels to be displayed, with various parameters at a glance.
Additionally, multiple metering modes can be chosen, such as mono, stereo and Dolby 5.1 downmix. It is possible to configure up to a maximum of 16 mixes from the 64 available Dante channels.
The device has built-in speakers and headphone connection for listening in modes follow o fix channel. There is also the possibility of connecting external speakers.
The GMS 3164 can also be connected to an external router or computer to monitor individual channels or groups of channels. These channels or groups of channels can be organized and named freely by the user. The display can also be divided into a general section and a “focus” section, which allows audio timelines to be displayed in real time in a window of up to 10 minutes.
The indication modes are: peak only, peak+hold, dBFS, BBC y Nordic. The device has primary and secondary Dante ports.
GDP 1132 Dante
As for the Ghielmetti GDP 1132 Dante device, it is a convenient solution for signal management, and a true bridge between analog and digital environments. It is based on a Dante section equipped with a Module Brooklyn II and a series of analog inputs and outputs. Audio signals between the Brooklyn module and the analog modules are routed through a mixer. This allows the system to route and/or mix one or more Dante channels to an analog output or one or multiple analog inputs to a Dante output.
The device can be managed remotely over a LAN using a web browser. It can also be operated locally using the built-in display and navigation buttons.
In order to ensure high reliability, the device can work with redundant power supplies. Its functions, robust construction and high reliability make the GDP 1132 a very suitable element for broadcast, studios and post-production, since it reduces wiring and conversion equipment needs.
The GDP 1132 has GP3 technology, which makes it compatible with a whole series of customizable connection hoses and XLR adapters, according to customer needs.
Finally, highlight that it allows route 16 inputs and 16 analog outputs from or to Dante; It has an LCD display for signal measurement and status indication. It has an internal power supply and a connector for an external DC power supply, which provides the option of working with redundant sources. It also has a USB port, headphone jack, AES3 output for monitoring and various functions such as a mixer.
