Western Digital SanDisk Professional detalle

SanDisk Professional by Western Digital features premium storage solutions for content creators and professionals.

This new brand, which brings together the SanDisk consumer range and the G-Technology professional line, presents 16 modular management and workflow solutions with two facts in common: “professional performance” and “enterprise-class reliability“. The range of products is designed to handle tasks such as capturing for film production, managing critical content and storing event snapshots across multiple locations.

Jim Welsh, senior vice president and general manager of Western Digital’s consumer solutions business, emphasized that his goal is that these new solutions can “optimize the experience” of creators so that they can “save time and focus more on creating”.

The new SanDisk Professional range is led by the Pro-Cinema CFexpress VPG400. This CFexpress card has been created for videographers and cinematographers who need uninterrupted performance with video recording at a minimum of 400MB/sec. In addition, four new Pro-Reader devices featuring a USB-CTM interface compatible with SuperSpeed USB 10Gbs and the CFastTM, CFexpress, RED Mini-Mag® Edition, CF, microSDTM and SDTM cards have been introduced. Both products are expected to be available in the summer.

Western Digital also announced the Pro-Dock 4, a 4-bay reader station that combines capture and storage with a scalable offload solution. Capable of offloading up to four cards simultaneously, it is expected to be available by the end of the summer.

Much earlier, in early June, the 4TB G-Drive ArmorLock Encrypted NVMe SSD will go on sale. Together with the G-Drive line of portable solutions, the Ultrastar professional drives and the G-Raid and G-Raid Shuttle Raid (Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C compatible), it offer high capacity and backups of more than 100TB.
