Pebble's R&D department is reinforced with Andrew Hutchings
Pebble has hired engineer Andrew Hutchings (Sony, Grass Valley) to continue strengthening its research and development branch.
Andrew He has 35 years of experience in multiple sectors of the UK electronics industry, having held various positions of responsibility before joining Pebble. He was engineering director of Sony for a decade, working on the company's most important digital television developments. Most recently, Andrew was engineering director for the Networking SDI Routing department at Grass Valley for the past 10 years, where I was responsible for low-volume, high-value hardware/firmware/software products.
Hutchings He joins Pebble as the company is launching new solutions to help broadcasters transition from their traditional broadcast infrastructure to more flexible IP-based technologies. The new engineering manager of the company will work alongside technical development directors and various technical product managers to drive innovation in all areas.
Hutchings He hopes to “actively participate in driving the company’s projects from concept to full production.” On the other hand, Miroslav Jeras, CTO of Pebble, emphasizes that he is delighted “that we have hired a highly qualified engineer in Andrew and I have no doubt that his extensive experience in both the supplier and broadcast sectors will prove invaluable in our R&D efforts.”
