CCMA demands in Parliament the “necessary financing” to promote the audiovisual industry

The Catalan Corporation of Audiovisual Media (CCMA) has requested in the Parliament of Catalonia the preparation of a new program contract that guarantees a stable financing framework.

Núria Llorach, vice president and acting president of CCMA, has reaffirmed that the corporation has already worked on a program contract proposal “to address the challenges of the coming years with guarantees.” Likewise, he confirms that the first meetings with the counselor have already taken place and that, likewise, “bilateral meetings between the government and the CCMA will soon begin to work on a joint proposal.”

Although the program contract is not yet a reality, Llorach has announced that “an increase in spending on audiovisual production of 52 million”, a provisional solution with which he hopes that the necessary investment demanded by the audiovisual industry can be recovered and that the Catalan Corporation of Mitjans Audiovisuals also considers necessary.

The rest of the appearance of Núria Llorach, acting president of CCMA; Vincent Sanchis, director of Television of Catalonia; y Saul Gordillo, director of Catalonia Radio and of the Digital Media of the Corporation, has served for the entity to reaffirm its independence, highlighting that “no political party” prepares “public television programming.” On the other hand, the good reception by viewers of the new season's programming has been celebrated and the commitment to new technologies has been ratified, exemplified in a fiction series with binaural sound for Catalunya Radio, the opening of a Twitch and the commitment to podcast.
