Estelle McGechie - Atomos CEOEstelle McGechie, Atomos Chief Product Officer since joining the company in June 2021, faces a new challenge as CEO.

During her time at Atomos, McGechie has leveraged her international experience in product development and marketing to evolve the company’s focus on software platforms and services, a key strategic pillar for Atomos. McGechie’s promotion to CEO is primarily aimed at enhancing Atomos’ ability to meet its goals of growth by expanding into new verticals with hardware and software products.

During his career, McGechie has worked at companies such as The Walt Disney Company, Logitech and Apple. While at Apple, Estelle oversaw product development and marketing of video applications such as Final Cut Pro, Motion and Compressor. She was also involved in the development of Apple ProRes and ProRes RAW, XML, FxPlug and Workflow Extensions technologies. Most recently, Estelle was vice president of marketing at Frame.io, a cloud-based video collaboration platform that was acquired by Adobe in August 2021.

New goals for Atomos

Chris Tait, CEO of Atomos, justifies McGechie’s appointment, “Estelle quickly demonstrated to the board and her peers the ability to deliver on our strategy. Her signature collaborative style and rigorous approach to developing and bringing video technology products and services to market is a great fit for Atomos at this important stage of our strategic roadmap. We are thrilled she has taken on the CEO role and welcome her back home to Australia.”
