Cineworld Group acquires more than a thousand Christie pure laser RGB projectors

The world's second largest exhibition chain chooses Christie's RealLaser family of RGB laser projectors to equip its best movie theaters around the world.

Cineworld Group, the world's second largest cinema exhibition chain, has signed an agreement to acquire more than 1,000 units of the next generation of pure laser RGB projectors for cinema Christie, which are equipped with Christie RealLaser lighting technology.

Renana Teperberg, commercial director of Cineworld, states that "we always pay attention to the best technologies. The goal is to enhance the viewer's experience in the cinema. Christie and Cineworld have been good partners for many years. Christie's talent for innovation is well known, as are its excellent customer services and technical support."

"We are absolutely convinced that the RGB solution will improve the image quality in all our spaces. Our fundamental strategy is that our rooms are the best place to watch movies. As it could not be otherwise, projection quality is one of the legs of that strategy," he adds.

Cineworld has almost 9,500 screens spread across 10 geographical areas. Many of those PLF (Premium Large Format) theaters and large commercial cinema auditoriums will begin to enjoy Christie RGB laser projectors this summer.
