Christie brings its pure RGB laser projection to the heart of the BFI London Film Festival

In close collaboration with the British Film Institute (BFI), Christie brings its pure RGB laser projection technology to the 69th edition of the BFI London Film Festival.

The festival, which runs from 8 to 19 October, promises to dazzle audiences at its iconic home on London's South Bank, with Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall hosting many of the week's galas and premieres on an impressive 18 meter screen. Pure RGB laser cinema projectors have been selected for the event Christie CP4455-RGB y CP4435-RGB.

Their ability to deliver stunning clarity and color on a large scale ensures that every premiere is experienced just as the filmmakers intended. In our temporary installation at the Royal Festival Hall, Christie's technology provides the reliability, performance and ease of installation our teams need to bring the magic of cinema to life for audiences and creators."

After a record year in 2024, in which the festival reached its highest in-person attendance in a decade with 230,342 spectators, the 2025 edition will present 250 titles (among feature films, shorts, series and immersive works) from 79 countries, inviting film lovers from around the world to discover the new talents of the year.

Equipped with the CineLife+ electronics and the Real|Laser lighting, Christie CP4455-RGB 4K and CP4435-RGB Pure RGB Laser Cinema Projectors offer realistic 4K images, with exceptional brightness and color fidelity, ideal for projecting premieres on the festival's large screen.

El BFI London Film Festival de este año se ha inaugurado con el esperado estreno internacional de Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, dirigida por Rian Johnson. La Gala American Express presentará el estreno británico de Rental Family, dirigida por la cineasta japonesa Hikari, continuando la tradición del festival de celebrar narrativas audaces y diversas de todo el mundo.
