BFI London Film Festival relies on Christie's CP4440-RGB projector
The CP4440-RGB projector Christie is once again the projection technology of the 66th edition of the BFI London Film Festival (LFF), an event that will be held from October 5 to 16, 2022.
He BFI LFF has returned to the prestigious Royal Festival Hall on the south bank of the Thames, a concert hall with the capacity to host screenings aimed at 2,500 spectators. The key projection technology of this venue is a Christie CP4440-RGB, projector laser compact compatible with DCI that incorporates CineLife+ electronics and lighting Real|Laser. Phil Lord, Christie's director of film sales, celebrates the presence of the device at the London festival: "We are both thrilled and excited to continue our long-standing relationship and support of the BFI London Film Festival. The feedback we received last year, from both directors and visitors, about the performance and image quality of the CP4440-RGB projector was extremely positive. We look forward to returning to the Royal Festival Hall for the 66th edition of this acclaimed and popular film festival."
He BFI LFF will have a total of 23 world premieres of movies. At the gala opening premiered worldwide Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical, a big-screen adaptation of the hit Olivier-winning stage musical starring Emma Thomson. The closing This year, on the other hand, will be Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, a film starring Daniel Craig, Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick and Madelyn Cline with Kate Hudson and Dave Bautista.
The 2021 edition of the LFF featured 139,400 physical attendees at the screenings, events and the LFF Expanded exhibition.
