Cinemex installs the first Christie RGB laser projector in Mexico
The sixth largest in the world installs a Christie Solaria CP42LH 4K RGB 3DLP laser projector in the Cinemex Mundo E complex in Mexico City. The room has also been equipped with the Christie Vive Audio cinema audio system along with the Dolby Atmos immersive sound format.
The Mexican chain Cinemex, the sixth largest in the world, has installed the first Christie RGB laser projector in the country in room 3 (CinemeXtremo) of the Cinemex Mundo E complex in Mexico City. The room has also been equipped with the Christie Vive Audio cinema audio system along with the Dolby Atmos immersive sound format.
The installed system is a Christie Solaria CP42LH 4K RGB 3DLP laser projector in 3P configuration, a colorful and ultra-bright solution for large screens. Leveraging the Christie Freedom laser lighting platform, the CP42LH produces a color spectrum that goes beyond the DCI P3 color space and matches Rec. 2020, making it the most advanced RGB laser cinema projection system on the market.
Rolando Maggi, Director of Infrastructure and Real Estate Development at Cinemex, maintains that "at Cinemex we are committed to offering a superior cinematographic experience, which is why we constantly innovate by acquiring the best technology. For this reason, we decided to incorporate the most advanced in projection such as laser. The Christie CP42LH projector offers the brightest digital cinema projection with the ability to increase its light up to 60,000 lumens, remaining above 80% brightness for more than 30,000 hours.”
"Being the first chain in Mexico to have this type of projector gives us a lot of pride, since it reinforces our commitment to innovate and offer the most cutting-edge technology. Without a doubt, our viewers will have the best experience when watching their movies and will be surprised by the sharpness and quality of the image," he adds.
Christie Vive Audio y Dolby Atmos
With its 19 theaters, the Cinemex Mundo E complex also completes the 30th joint installation of Christie Vive Audio and Dolby Atmos in the CinemeXtremo theaters. These are PLF (Premium Large Format) auditoriums that have giant screens, 100% digital cinema projection and ergonomic seats to provide maximum comfort to film fans. All of them offer the unrivaled combination of Dolby Atmos and Christie Vive Audio, providing a highly immersive sound experience renowned for its exceptional power and performance. “The fact of combining cutting-edge technology in both audio and image generates a unique and unrepeatable experience for our audience,” says Rolando Maggi.
Ernesto Armus, general manager of Christie Mexico, acknowledges that "we feel very honored that Cinemex has recognized the superiority and brilliance of our revolutionary RGB laser projection system. The installation of the Christie RGB laser projector together with the Vive Audio and Dolby Atmos systems will allow the CinemeXtremo theater at Cinemex Mundo E to become the cinema with the best image and sound quality in all of Mexico and will provide viewers with an unforgettable cinematographic experience."
