Christie's Pure RGB and Xenon Laser Projection Illuminates Screens at 49th Toronto Film Festival
RGB and Xenon pure laser projection solutions Christie are in theaters at the 49th annual Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) which takes place from September 5 to 15 in the Canadian city.
As Official Digital Projection Partner, Christie cinema projectors are used in five venues, including half of the Scotiabank Theatre's screens, with pure RGB and Xenon laser-based projection. Roy Thomson Hall, the Royal Alexandra Theater and the Princess of Wales Theater feature Christie's RGB pure laser projection.

As part of the festival, Christie has organized a micro-session titled Amplifying the audience experience: how technology is changing the future of cinema, on September 9 at 10 a.m. at the Glenn Gould Conference Center. The session will examine how projection technology impacts the audience experience, theaters' bottom lines, and the difficult decisions theaters must make when considering a technology upgrade in an uncertain market. Allan Fernandes, Senior Product Manager for Christie's Film division, will moderate this discussion.
