The XX Mestre Mateo receive the candidatures of 457 professionals and 162 works

457 professionals and 162 works will compete to be finalists in the XX Master Mateo, awards organized by the Galician Audiovisual Academy that recognize the value of the Galician audiovisual industry.

In this edition of the Master Mateo participate 162 works released in 2021, which constitutes a 11% more than the previous year. Among the works presented are 19 advertisements, 29 short films, 28 documentaries, 8 feature films, 32 television programs, 5 television series, 14 web series y 27 video clips. 475 candidates have also been submitted in the professional categories, of which 292 (60%) corresponded to men and 183 (40%) to women.

The members of the Galician Audiovisual Academy They will vote until next time January 31 to choose the finalist candidates in each of the 25 categories. Once the voting is completed, the finalist candidacies of the candidates will be announced. XX Master Mateo Awards, an edition that will culminate next March 19 at the awards gala where the winners of this anniversary edition will be announced.

The celebration will take place in Expocoruña, a new venue for a new awards experience with the finalists of the different categories seated at tables around a stage, with a format similar to that of other popular awards shows such as the Golden Globes or the Feroz Awards.
