Winners - Honors - Mestre Mateo XX

The Galega Audiovisual Academy The 20th edition of the awards ceremony was held this weekend at Expocoruña. Master Mateo, in which the series stood out Hierro and the movies Three y Jacinto.

Hierro, fiction of Portocabo y Movistar Plus+, ended up being the big winner of the evening with six awards: best television series; best address to Jorge Coira; best script to Pepe Coira, Fran Araújo, Araceli Gonda, Lidia Fraga and Eligio R. Montero; best assembly to Jorge Coira, Gaspar Broullon y Juan Galiñanes; best original music to Elba Fernandez y Xavi Font, y best production management to Ana Miguez. It follows closely, with four Master Mateo, the tape Jacinto, which won 4 awards out of the 11 for which it was nominated: best art direction to Samuel Lema, male lead performance for Pedro Brandariz, and makeup, hair and wardrobe to Lorena Calvo. The intimate sound story also stands out Three, which was done with best feature film, best leading actress for Marta Nieto and better sound to Daniel Fontrodona, Oriol Tarragó, Marc Bech y Marc Orts.

Winners - Honor Award - Margarita Ledo - Mestre Mateo XXThe Purple Virgin was voted by academics as best documentary y #DígochoEu, of CRTVG, as best program. The latter also received the award for best communicator for Esther Estévez Casado. Live Networks, of Metronoventa Creativity y Advertising Production, was awarded the award for best advertisement. The video clip of the song Pussy, from Tanjugueiras, produced by Playplan y Thirteen Yellow, obtained the Mestre Mateo at best video clip y, Abyssal waters, from Rebordelos, the one from best short film.

The rest of the night's winners were Jairo Iglesias best performance by Origen; Lucía C. Pan a best cinematography by What did we do wrong?; I would kill Microseries, from Dinamo Producións and Javi Sega Producciones, as best web series; y Malencolía, by Alfonso Zarauza, won two awards for his supporting actors: Diego Anido and Iolanda Muíños.

Another key moment of the gala, broadcast through tvg, was the delivery of Fernando Rey Honor Award to the filmmaker, journalist, researcher, poet and writer Margarita Ledo, awarded for a career “committed to reflection, creation, feminism and our language.”
