‘Maixabel’, ‘Hierro’ and ‘La Fortuna’ lead the nominations for the Forqué Awards
This Thursday, November 11, the public reading of the finalists for the 27th edition of the José María Forqué Awards, which like every year is awarded by the Audiovisual Producers' Rights Management Entity (EGEDA) and opens the film awards season in Spain.
The president of EGEDA, Enrique Cerezo, next to Vicky Luengo, Alvaro Mel, Santiago Segura y Grace Querejeta, who have read the nominees.
The presentation of these awards will take place at the IFEMA Municipal Palace of Madrid next December 11, a month earlier than is traditional, with a gala that will be presented by Marta Hazas and Elena S. Sánchez.
This 27th edition of the awards will look towards the 1980s, a prominent decade in the field of artistic, musical, audiovisual and cultural creation. Cerezo commented that "we celebrate the eighties at the Forqué Awards as a tribute, memory and remembrance of what they were for Spain and for Madrid. An explosion of freedom."
Maixabel, the film with the most votes in the cinematographic section with five nominations, will compete with The good boss, selected by the Film Academy to compete for the nomination for the 94th Oscar Awards, Parallel mothers y Mediterranean for the José María Forqué Award for Best Fiction or Animation Feature Film. In the television section, where Hierro y Fortune are up for three awards, the works competing for the Best Fiction Series award are those already mentioned Hierro y Fortune, e Stories to keep you from sleeping y Lost Faggot.
