LaLiga announces the second edition of the 'eSports Management and Business' course

LaLiga, through its educational department LaLiga Business School, and in collaboration with Movistar, launches the second edition of the course eSports Business and Management in order to facilitate fundamental knowledge of this emerging industry.

This training, which will be carried out in streaming and presents as a great novelty the physical attendance at the eLaLiga Santander finals, will allow the acquisition of fundamental knowledge of this emerging industry, from the leading entities in Spain in the sector.

eSports and video game competitions are gaining popularity among fans of all ages and are becoming the new way to connect with new generations, both for Sports Industry properties and for the brands that can be associated with them. Therefore, in this second edition, the course LaLiga eSports Management and Business will offer an overview of the ecosystem of the industry of eSports y Competitive Gaming, from different angles: competitions, clubs, publishers, sponsors and nroadcasters.

In addition, the business model of eSports and Competitive Gaming, the different sponsorship modalities, the typology and challenges of broadcasts and the management and production of an event of these characteristics will be delved into. The last module will focus on the eLaLiga Santander, the only EA Sports FIFA 22 Global Series Official League Qualifier in Spain, and its upcoming international expansion.

The teaching staff is made up of LaLiga and Movistar professionals who currently manage video game competitions at a national and international level, as well as professionals from endemic eSports clubs, LaLiga Clubs and the entities responsible for organizing the competitions, such as the Professional Video Game League and the Interactive Software Federation of Europe.
