Olympique de Marseille uses Newsbridge Cloud Media Hub to manage its assets
The cloud platform Newsbridge, powered by Artificial Intelligence, will allow Olympique de Marseille to access, store, manage and share its multimedia assets, including 77,000 archive images.
For the club, the key when choosing its new digital asset manager was the possibility of instantly upload new images taken during a match or training. The club wanted to take advantage of AI technology to detect players and sponsor logos, and for automatically index and classify media assets, so those time-consuming tasks no longer fall to internal teams.
Newsbridge Cloud Media Hub in Marseille incorporates multimodal indexing by AI on a large scale, including face detection, logos and OCR (optical character recognition).
Automation, the key
The AI is trained to recognize a data set of 191 Marseille players from its men's, women's and youth teams, and 15 sponsor logos. Detection allows Automatically tag and classify media assets into specific smart collections within seconds of uploading live photos. Automation eliminates the need for Marseille's marketing team to manually index and group images.
For its part, the Newsbridge mobile application for iPhone and Android is used by players who, thanks to the facial recognition, they can access their personalized collection of images in the Media Hub. They can download or share their content directly on social networks from the application.
Members and sponsors of Olympique de Marseille can also connect to the Media Hub from their computer or mobile phone to easily access photo collections in which their brand appears.
