AEQ's Xpeak, compatible with JVC's remote production solution

AEQ y JVC have verified the interoperability of the Xpeak intercom system with JVC's remote production solution, composed of the GY-HC900 camcorder and the RM-LP25 remote controller, among other systems.

To carry out the interoperability test, the AEQ in collaboration with Broad Service, official distributors of JVC and AEQ, connected the fiber optic kit CM-FK1 CAM to the camera and a beltpack Xpeak_BP, as well as the CM-FK1 STD to remote controller RM-LP25 and to a rack intercom panel Xpeak_R. The double IP connectivity of each of the CM-FK1 terminals allowed the direct connection of panels, which given its condition peer to peer, they were recognized and worked without further configuration. Similarly, the connectivity of the camera with the controller was not affected.

Establishing connectivity through a private network, or a public one through solutions that make use of current cloud-based technologies, SRT, Zixi or similar protocols, the union between Xpeak and the JVC system materializes in a complete chain of study “en cualquier parte del mundo”. Con este sistema, entre otros procesos, se puede enviar vídeo HD de alta calidad en streaming SRT; recibir vídeo retorno SRT, para mejorar encuadres con elementos insertados en realización; realizar un control remoto profesional, e introducir logos, marcas de agua o imágenes a pantalla completa mediante control web. Además, añadiendo la solución bidireccional de intercom Xpeak, “se tiene todo lo necesario para trabajar de forma remota con una cámara y una petaca”.

Carlos Martinez del equipo de JVC Professional Systems in Spain and Portugal conveys the main advantages of this interoperability: "Our cameras can be controlled via IP, receive IP video, transmit IP video and even receive an internal IFB audio channel, but not simultaneously with the video return reception. If we have return video, we lose the IFB channel, which would make us have to choose. However, with the integration of the Xpeak intercom...Voilà! There is no longer a choice, since it provides bidirectionality to the system.”
