Globo signs an agreement with Grass Valley to facilitate its transition to cloud workflows

Grass Valley has signed a multi-year contract with the Brazilian media group Globo so that it can migrate its production processes for small and medium-sized events to cloud environments.

Globe will lean on Agile Media Processing Platform (AMPP) of Grass Valley, a platform that will allow deployment in the cloud advanced media operations with the aim of growing the content creation capacity of broadcasters without them being tied to “expensive hardware investment cycles”, underlines the company itself. Mauricio Felix, CTO of Globo, states that this agreement is born from its confidence in Grass Valley, company that has already helped the media group modernize the station's infrastructure and systems, including its IP migration: “It has been a journey of learning and collaboration between Globo and Grass Valley, and our migration to the cloud is the cornerstone of our transformation, as it not only provides us with cost savings, but above all greater agility to increase our content production on a considerably larger scale.”
