Filming of 'We Treat Women Too Well' Begins

Clara Bilbao, winner of three Goyas for her work as a costume designer, makes her debut as a director with 'We Treat Women Too Well', a feature film whose filming has already begun in Galicia.

Bilbao's debut feature, a Spain-France co-production led by Fiction Productions With Noodles Production, is a black comedy scripted by Miguel Barros based on the French best seller We are always so good with women written by Raymond Queneau.

We treat women too well, which also has the participation of RTVE and the support of Council of Galicia, tvg y Prime Video, is starred by Carmen Machi y Antonio de la Torre, a duo supported by a powerful squad of secondary players including Luis Tosar, Isaak Ferriz, Oscar Ladoire, Julián Villagran and Diego Anido.

This is the synopsis of its plot, a quote that addresses “important themes” from the satire, melancholy and humor: “Remedios Buendía defends her homeland and will fight for it above all. This fateful day in the autumn of '45, a group of maquis on the run had the bad idea of ​​taking over the post office where Remedios, excited, tries on her wedding dress. Today will be the day in which Remedios will demonstrate how far she can go defending his values. And no one can stop it. Not even this battalion of rebels with smoking rifles and raised fists.”
