Actus Digital will exhibit its new StreamWatch OTT solution at NAB 2023
The new OTT StreamWatch, a SaaS/on-prem solution that provides quality control, compliance logging, OTT stream monitoring and aircheck recording of native HLS and ABR streams, will be officially presented by Digital Act within the framework of NAB 2023 (April 16-19).
Digital Act presents the new OTT StreamWatch as the “first product” that makes streaming channel monitoring “economically viable” FAST, IPTV and OTT throughout the entire workflow. The solution analyzes OTT content at the manifest, encryption and HTTP level, clearly showing the QoS information so users can evaluate bandwidth usage, download times of streaming media, and buffering issues within OTT streams. In the same way, summarize the data so that operators can recognize and address potential issues before they impact viewer quality.
Live OTT video streams can be displayed on multivisores (from one or more workflow probe points) highlighting affected rendering variants/probe points as issues occur. You can also send notifications via email/SMS/SNMP and other types when alert parameters are violated due to broadcast quality problems, such as missing/frozen video, audio too low/too loud/missing, missing subtitles. Additionally, OTT StreamWatch can perform registry entries, as well as send notifications to alert engineers about QoS issues, including errors with Media HTTP, Media Decryption, Manifest HTTP, Manifest Parsing, SCTE Parsing, and Missing SCTE.
The latest development of Actus Digital, which can be discovered in depth in NAB 2023, can be purchased as a turnkey system with perpetual software licenses or as a SaaS solution in AWS, any public cloud, or a customer's private cloud/virtual machine infrastructure.
Ken Rubin, senior vice president of Digital Act, believe that the new OTT StreamWatch will “revolutionize” the OTT quality control market. In their own words: "It addresses OTT quality issues that lead to viewer churn and revenue loss with a unique combination of features and benefits that have never been combined within a single product before, and at a price well below what combined products would cost to deliver similar benefits. The market needed a comprehensive OTT quality assurance solution that was affordable for OTT content owners, streaming companies and service providers of all sizes."
