This week filming of the series 'Detective Touré' began in Bilbao, one of La 1's big bets for the next season, co-produced by RTVE, Detective Touré AIE, Tornasol Media, DeAPlaneta and EITB.

Touré, a Guinean immigrant who makes a living as an improvised detective thanks to his cunning and sense of humor, is the protagonist of the new fiction, which combines intrigue, humor and endearing characters.

Based on the novels by award-winning writer Jon Arretxe, is created by the winner of the Goya Award for best adapted script in 2021 David Pérez Sañudo (Ane) and by the screenwriter with extensive experience in detective series Carlos Vila Sexto (Laura's mysteries) and has the participation of the screenwriter Flora González Villanueva. The filmmakers Esteban Crespo y Violeta Salama They are in charge of directing the six episodes of the series.

The series has a wide cast featuring well-known actors such as Itziar Ituño, Unax Ugalde, Loreto Mauleon, Itsaso Arana, Urko Olazabal, Gorsy Edu, Emilio Buale, Goize Blanco, Lander Otaola, Ayoub El Hilali, Jon Olivares and Ane Gabarain . . . .

Malcolm Treviño Sitté (The never seen) plays the vital and charismatic Mahamoud Touré, an atypical detective who will conquer the public with his sense of humor and cunning. In the series, he will face challenges and mysteries of various kinds, while he uses his wit and magnetic personality to solve each case that comes his way in the most creative and unexpected way possible. A procedural series in which the protagonist must solve a different case in each episode.

The fiction is It will film during the months of June, July, August and September in emblematic places in Bilbao, such as the Arriaga Theater and the San Francisco neighborhood, known for being the most multicultural and diverse corner of the city.

Detective Touré becomes the first adaptation of a work by Jon Arretxe for the small screen. He is considered one of the great crime novel authors in Spain and most of his books, originally published in Basque, have become bestsellers in Navarra and Euskadi. He began his literary career in the 90s, and currently combines his work as a writer with that of an opera singer. He is a member of opera choirs from Bilbao and Pamplona.
