Data Media gives keys on AR and XR in broadcast with top-level partners at ECAM

The ECAM Madrid hosts the first of two days dedicated to virtual production promoted by Data Average. The integrator organizes this event, which will have a second day on June 15, accompanied by prominent companies such as Alfalite, Avid, EVS, Metraweather, PMC, Ross Video, Sony, Stagetec, Support y Zero Density.

The sets of the Film School of the Community of Madrid have hosted a notable display that has allowed attendees to see the possibilities and versatility of the virtual production environments for broadcast applications.

With the commercial director of Data Media, Jorge Perez, as master of ceremonies, there have been several entertaining, direct and representative presentations of the power of the tools present. In total, more than 200 professionals, in which representatives of the main broadcasters are present Spaniards, production companies and training schools, will be part of these days.

Taking a screen as a canvas Alfalite ORIM 1.9, the same one available in RTVE studios, Zero Density has inaugurated the day showing all the power of his Reality Engine. A basketball court and one of the sets of The Weather Channel have allowed us to discover the possibilities of the Reality Engine, with spectacular functions such as augmented and interactive reality, tracking and extension of scenarios (in this case with the tracking system of Support), tracking lighting effects on the presenter, or even the possibility of anchoring an AR element on the stage so that the talent can move around it.

Next, Metraweather has allowed us to know the possibilities of its tool, which promises solutions adapted to all broadcasters with a wide selection of graphic tools for meteorology applications. The presentations on the augmented reality stage ended with an intervention by Luis Garrido, executive director of Alfalite, which has claimed the European nature and qualities of its LED panels, and Angel Luis, Data Media engineering manager, who has described the challenges of deploying this complete set, with its own chroma keying, in just 48 hours.

Soundware and auditorium presentations

In parallel to the presentations on the virtual set, the Data Media event at the ECAM has had a second space in which the team Soundware Media has shown the advantages of audio processing and control solutions Stagetec.

The set featured the Avatus IP modular table, adapted for broadcast applications or highly demanding live environments, among other applications. At the same time, attendees have been able to discover the fidelity of the audio systems of PMC.
