MOG - MAM4PRO - IBC 2023

MOG’s media production, orchestration, distribution and monetization solutions will receive important news ahead of IBC 2023, an event that the Portuguese company will not miss from September 15 to 18.

The MAM4PRO solution, flagship of MOG’s arsenal, will travel to the Amsterdam RAI with new features such as its new AI-based object recognition algorithms that accurately identify and categorize objects within video frames. This technology also includes advanced scene detection algorithms, enabling accurate segmentation and cataloging of video based on contextual changes. Among other functions, the AI embedded in MAM4PRO will also be able to perform sentiment analysis or age prediction. In parallel, MOG has confirmed that its MAM solution will receive a substantial enhancement in metadata processing with speech-to-text transcription, language detection, OCR for text extraction, timecode generation, automatic tagging and keyword suggestions.

Looking to the future of the industry, MOG has also confirmed the arrival of Main Concept’s VVC/H.266 technology to all of its integrated solutions, which promises “enhanced compression and superior visual fidelity”. Thanks to this new compression standard, users will be able to stream in 8K60 in real time with MainConcept VVC, while still being able to handle 4K and lower resolutions. Similarly, the VVC ecosystem enables video processing in high resolutions for environments such as “medicine, digital signage, advertising technology, video games and virtual reality.”

MOG’s cloud universe

IBC 2023 will also allow MOG to continue to highlight the value of its cloud offer, with solutions such as a cloud archiving service with “world-class encryption,” redundancy, intuitive media management and the promise of “seamless and automated” file migration, specifically from LTO and Deep-Archive tapes to Cloud Archiving. This ecosystem enables processes such as dailies delivery in the context of a shoot, allowing editors to cut and select only essential content via proxy.

MOG also supports multi-cloud environments, an increasingly popular option for companies looking to avoid the risks associated with relying on a single cloud provider. In this context, the firm will showcase at IBC 2023 its ability to realize portability across microservices, as well as the significant cost savings of its proposition.
