Riedel: SDI and IP versatility with MediorNet HorizoN at IBC 2023

The MediorNet family of video processing and networking devices is expanded with the new MediorNet HorizoN, a great novelty from Riedel to IBC 2023.

MediorNet HoriZon is based on a software-based application concept to bring flexibility and simplicity to video ecosystems in the television, entertainment, sports, business and public administration sectors. Designed to “adapt and empower”, HorizoN integrates 16 independent processing engines and individually configurable within a single rack unit, facilitating flexible processing while seamlessly bridging the baseband and IP systems.

Likewise, this new platform unveiled at IBC 2023 provides up to 128 gateways SDI – IP, until 32 channels of SDR-HDR conversion and color correction, or even 16 up/down/cross conversions and color corrections. SFP-based baseband video I/O completes the offering, making HorizoN an “extremely versatile” solution designed to address the major challenges of modern production environments.
