Riedel at IBC 2013

Riedel has announced at IBC 2013 the expansion card for MediorNet MN-ST-AL-2 intended to support Studer consoles from Harman.

MediorNet is a complete solution for transporting signals in real time over fiber for both video, audio, communications and data.

MN-ST-AL-2 provides two ports, each with redundant interfaces, providing connectivity to Studer mixing consoles via the Studer A-Link protocol.

In this way, consoles become an integral part of the entire signal distribution infrastructure. Users can have up to 384 channels per connection and realize significant cost savings in wiring and maintenance without sacrificing signal quality and with great flexibility.

Audio streaming routing is handled by MediorWorks management and control software, a system that is very easy to use as you only need to drag and drop elements, making last minute changes very easy and intuitive. Additionally, additional routing can be carried out via Pro-Bel commands or via the new EMBER+ remote control protocol on MediorNet.

The new MediorNet MN-ST-AL-2 card supports decentralized audio routing applications over any network topology, and requires only one card slot with two high-speed ports. Thus, a MediorNet modular frame equipped with A-Link interface cards becomes a cost-effective audio matrix with 4,608 inputs and outputs in two rack units. The new Riedel card for MediorNet supports both the Studer Vista 5 and Vista 9 consoles, as well as the OnAir 3000 series.
