Panasonic - IP Production ak-ucu700

The AK-UCU7000 4K/IP CCU with IP connectivity and the main Frame Kairos Core 2000 AT-KC2000S1 grow Panasonic's IP ecosystem.

Panasonic Connect has announced the launch in the first quarter of 2024 of the new camera control unit (CCU) AK-UCU7000, compatible with a wide range of solutions IP integration for current Panasonic 4K studio camera systems. This solution offers compatibility with 4K y HDR, migration IP flexible of existing operating systems, migration from conventional CCU-based broadband systems and a 3.5″ LCD touch panel.

The AK-UCU700 supports the IP transmission standard SMPTE ST 2110, as well as with JPEG-XS to compress video in 4K up to factor 10 without quality degradation. Panasonic - IP Production KC2000S1Additionally, Panasonic Connect Europe has announced the new series Kairos Core 2000 (Main Frame), AT-KC2000S1, KAIROS' IT/IP platform for professional live video production and distribution. The AT-KC2000S1 can support different configurations of inputs and outputs, always ensuring redundancy ST 2022-7 for the dissemination and distribution of events through a network.

He AT-KC2000S1 (available from December 2023) is a mainframe equipped with the same functions as the Kairos Core 2000 (AT-KC2000) second generation (AT-KC2000) announced in August this year and can be used without halving the number of inputs and outputs when operating with redundancy. The equipment has been designed for those professionals who transmit or stream events and sports using a network.

Andre Meterian, director of the professional video systems area at Panasonic Connect Europe, explains about both solutions: "The demand for hybrid video production is rapidly growing and viewing habits are diversifying rapidly. This is generating the need for the sector to support various resolutions and format ratios, as well as simultaneous broadcasting in multiple media. These last two IP-based systems help companies in their transition to the new reality of production and Panasonic Connect Europe leads this trend."
