Land, audiovisual cluster and digital content from Andalusia

The Minister of the Presidency, Interior, Social Dialogue and Administrative Simplification of the Junta de AndalucíaAntonio Sanz, presented this Thursday in Seville the new audiovisual cluster and digital content that, under the name of Land, seeks to position the community as an epicenter of the audiovisual sector of Europe.

During his presentation, the counselor has announced that the cluster will be present in two international prestigious appointments in the audiovisual sector, such as the Focus 2023, which will be held on December 5 and 6 in London (United Kingdom), and in the Global natpe, which takes place in Miami (USA), from January 16 to 18.

There will be, therefore, the first actions to support the internationalization of Andalusian audiovisual creators, with the aim of improving their competitiveness and international projection, explained the counselor, who has also emphasized the planned measures in terms of training, financing and administrative simplification that will be launched to create employment and consolidate this audiovisual and digital content industry.

"The Andalusian audiovisual talent is already recognized outside our land, but we are going to go hand in hand with companies to improve their presence in industry fairs and events and that, in the near future, Andalusia welcomes a great appointment that congregates to referents of the sector to take another step and that Andalusia becomes the audiovisual capital of Europe," said Antonio Sanz.

The Minister of the Presidency recalled that Land "is an open initiative to which more companies and entities will be joined" and has encouraged the agents of the sector to join because "they connect with other companies to increase their visibility, have access to shared resources and services to improve their competitiveness."

Sanz has broken down the measures that the creation of Land bears, which are destined to "eliminate bureaucratic obstacles and procedures To save time and be more agile, thus responding to the needs of the audiovisual sector. ”He has put some examples, such as the authorization of work in the filming for children under 16, authorization to gab in coastal areas maintaining the protection of the beaches and expedite the permits for filming in heritage, historical and cultural spaces.

On the other hand, it has advanced that the Junta de Andalucía will start a Single window, with the aim of strengthening the work already done by Andalusia Film Commission. "This unique window will be a place where you can make all the requests and procedures of professionals, although Andalusia Film Commission will continue to serve as a gateway for companies, facilitating and giving logistical support and consulting," he said.

On the other hand, the counselor recalled that the launch of Land is accompanied by the New strategy for audiovisual creation and audiovisual content and that will be key to adapting the sector to the new digital context. "The mission of the cluster and this strategy is to promote development and consolidate the sector from the commitment to public-private collaboration, digitalization, competitiveness, internationalization, talent and public support," said Sanz, which has recognized that the sector is "a basic pillar for the transmission of the culture and entity of Andalusia, as well as for the economic development of our land."

Sanz has celebrated that the birth of Land arrives at a good time for the sector in Andalusia, and has argued it with examples: Andalusia hosted a total of a total of 1,406 rollenes of audiovisual productions, 1,758 locations managed that generated more than 23,000 direct and indirect jobs, and an economic impact of 141 million euros, a record figure in Andalusia, with an increase of 19.33% compared to the previous year.
