TBS morning show 'Ousama no Brunch' standardizes a workflow based on LiveU and Starlink
TBS Act Japan, production company behind the morning show 'Ousama no Brunch' TBS Japan, has made connections to highly populated locations through a system that links the production solution of LiveU with the microsatellite system Starlink.
Relay backpacks LiveU next to the system Starlink offers to Ousama no Brunch what has been defined as “extreme resistance” in locations where internet connections are not available and network saturation is often frequent. This development reflects the network agnostic philosophy of LiveU, which allow you to connect LiveU's set of IP video solutions with other top-of-the-line IP and satellite networks.
In the case of Ousama no Brunch of TBS, live images are sent from numerous LiveU dongles LU800 y LU600 directly to the LiveU receivers installed on the production truck using multiple mobile and satellite networks. LiveU assisted in the overall deployment and pre-testing at the production site, together with its local partner NTT Communications Corporation, which helped in the installation and connectivity of the mobile network.
This is how he describes Keiichi Shiota, from TBS Act, the workflow of LiveU along with Starlink: "We used the LiveU mobile receiver for on-site production in a large theme park in the Kanto region. Using LiveU Mobile Receiver, we were able to receive live video in a vehicle using mobile and satellite networks (Starlink) without the need for wired network connections. We believe that LiveU Mobile Receiver expands the possibilities of on-site production in places where it is not easy to prepare a wired network line."
On the other hand, Tobe Tatsuya, technical director of LiveU Japan, believes that this transmission shows "the advantages of combining cellular bandwidth with Starlink satellite terminals to obtain high-quality performance. With peace of mind, customers can focus on creating the best content from wherever they choose, both in indoor and outdoor locations, no matter how difficult they may be."
