AJA launches the DRM2 frame, designed for its Mini-Converter range

The DRM2, a rack-mount chassis aimed at the Mini-Converter range of AJA, is the great novelty of the brand announced at the Asian broadcast fair Inter BEE.

He DRM2, which updates the previous DRM, has the capacity to host and power up to 12 Mini-Converter by AJA of any kind, or even 24 AJA FiDO Mini-Converters via an optional cable. With a 200-watt fanless power supply and a 3RU, AJA DRM2 seeks to streamline broadcast, production and pro-AV workflows by allowing professionals to rack-mount multiple AJA mini converters to address their signal conversion needs in an orderly and agile manner.

The AJA DRM2 includes customer-requested features such as a removable front plate allowing quick access to the rack. Mini-Converters are mounted on small supports, which are easily installed or removed without having to remove the rack frame. They integrate 12 supports and the replacement brackets They can be purchased individually or in packs of 12.

AJA has also confirmed that the rack power cable set has 13 conectores D5/10-PC and plugs into a connector on the power supply rack, allowing custom wiring to be created based on users' needs. Additionally, DRM2 can be purchased in the version DRM2-AP, which includes an optional active faceplate with four fans for maximum cooling in high ambient temperature environments.
