Amagi - Nevion - Pop up channels

The creation of premium format pop-up channels for top-level broadcasters is addressed in the latest alliance between Eggs, a company specializing in SaaS technology for CTV environments, and Nevion, a company specialized in virtualization belonging to Sony.

This combined solution developed by Amagi and Nevion allows production teams, wherever they are, to assemble and disassemble pop up channels in the cloud y use them in combination with your local production, “overcoming the latency issues typically associated with these hybrid workflows.”

This proposal is based on the new compatibility of Amagi Cloudport con VSF TR-07 (JPEG XS over TS), which enables the transport of high-quality, ultra-low latency video between the ground and the cloud as if they were in the same mobile unit or facility. Integration with VideoIPath, a key component of Sony's Networked Live offering, further simplifies workflow (including connectivity) for production and master control operators, enabling synchronization of graphics, digital video effects and ad breaks.

Jan Helgensen, product and solutions manager Nevion, considers this collaboration an “important milestone” for the industry: “With Amagi Cloudport and VideoIPath from Nevion, customers looking to create hybrid workflows in the cloud can achieve spin-up and spin-down automation, allowing a single producer to manage production control on premises, in addition to master control and ad insertion through a browser.”

Srinivasan Ka, co-founder and chief revenue officer of Eggs, shares his colleague's enthusiasm: "Amagi's collaboration with Nevion constitutes a partnership for the advancement of broadcast technology. By combining the capabilities of Amagi Cloudport with Nevion's VideoIPath, broadcasters now have an advanced solution to elevate hybrid broadcast workflows in the cloud, with the aim of establishing a new standard of operational efficiency in the industry."
