Riedel unites spaces and professionals in Baluarte/NICDO (Pamplona)

Baluarte is one of the largest venues for conferences, exhibitions and performances in Spain, whose space is spread over almost 64.000 m² which occupy an avant-garde building designed by the Navarrese architect Patxi Mangado. It is a modern, versatile and functional meeting and meeting space, located in the heart of the Navarrese capital.

Baluarte has a main auditorium with capacity for 1,568 spectators. A chamber room designed to accommodate 432 people allows for medium-sized meetings or conferences, as well as other cultural activities and small-format concerts. For the rest of the events, it has exhibition rooms, the wall room, and a press room, in a total of 4,800 m² dedicated to this purpose.

The congresses find their natural location in the Ciudadela and Luneta rooms, which can accommodate a total of 800 people. Other smaller rooms, such as conference rooms, a lobby dedicated to exhibitions and receptions and a restaurant with capacity for 125 guests complete the most important rooms of this space reserved for culture and congresses in the heart of Pamplona.

Within the framework of the plan digitalization and modernization of infrastructure carried out by Baluarte in recent years, improving communication in a space with such a huge surface area was quite a challenge.

Breaking barriers with IP

To solve this, Riedel technology has achieved break the barriers of all these spaces which houses an imposing and solid construction of gray quartzite that alternates with bright interior spaces.

Baluarte chose to implement a intercom over IP with AES67 protocol. Thanks to twenty flasks from the intercom Bolero y siete Smartpanels Interconnected by IP, the center is capable of offering the necessary intercommunication for any event held.

Throughout this video interview, it is clear that Riedel's intercom has made it possible to integrate not only technicians but also room, security or service personnel. Versatility and ease in handling two of the aspects that stand out from this installation in which with just 6 antennas the 64,000 m² of the premises are covered.

Finally, the Baluarte team highlights the technical service from the manufacturer who not only contributed to initial training on the system, but also offers ongoing support.
